ITS NOT ABOUT THE SHOES!
Let’s hear from “THE” Michael Jordan himself!
He speaks from the heart and is authentic. A man that tells you he is just a man. But, a man that woke up before the sun rose and stayed motivated until the end of the day. This is Michael’s life. A good leader, mentor or just a good all round individual. We still need Heros! Michael is my hero! …and a hero for many people. In Michael’s own words, “We need to have the courage to fail and not be broken when you break.” Get up and start over and over..and over again. Words to live by!
Michael Jordan’s TEN RULES FOR SUCCESS
- MAKE A LIST. Make your own list. Get a pen and some paper as you read the rest of this blog. (Do it! ). 80% of people that write down their goals will succeed! Let me know if you want to be in the winner’s circle. In fact, don’t tell me ..better still, tell yourself. “I can do better!”
- If you feel like giving up. Promise me that you will watch these two videos over and over until you start moving again towards your desired goal. Ignite that fire. I wish you well.
- We are all in the same boat. I need motivation too! I was inspired by Michael’s honesty. And, I hope you also get inspired.
A Legend Is Made
Jordan’s reputation as the greatest basketball player in history is rarely disputed. Michael Jordan was voted the NBA’s most valuable player of the year five times; he led the league in scoring ten times; and he led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships.
Before I leave you….I would like to say that my Mom & DAD named me “Michael Jordon”! Today, I find it amusing. I’m just Michael. There are a few more Michaels out there…Michael Jordan that is. Even though my last name is spelled differently, it never stops people from asking for my ID..sometimes, or looking at me funny – smiling, sneering. You name it. I get it all.
It makes me think of wise words from William Shakespeare: “What’s in a name? that which we call a rose …” By any other name would smell…so sweet.”
